Wow. What a shot. First of all, the placement of the bird in the shot is perfect, love the way its leaning towards the lens as well. The detail around the head and beak is excellent, would have been nicer to have more of the the lower part of the body in focus, but this makes the viewer focus on the head even more.
Background also looks great, seems like an odd background for a shot that has an animal as the main subject, but I think it works really well.
Altogether, great colours, well taken, cool subject :D

It's amazing! Hard to belive that this bokeh is natural , impressive : ) I had a green-yellow budgie and his name was Elf, he was so great! Is Calhoun a talking parrot?
