Wonderful capture! I love the colors. The blue in the background is awesome. I love the focus on his eyes and the angle is beautiful. One thing I would change is maybe zoom out just a tiny bit. A few of the hairs on his chin are cut off but that's just something minor. I love how clear and crisp this image is! I think that's the best part. The details really stand out. The fur, the whiskers, even his short eye lashes. I can even tell his nose is wet and shiny! Over all, this is a really great image. Color, focus, clarity, and impact are all strong points. Great job!
Honestly, I think Maugrim and the pack weren´t evil by nature, they were only cursed by the witch (remember what she did to Edmund!) Because when the witch was defeated, the wolves were on the side of Aslan..
I agree with you....they do look regal without even trying! And this is one magnificent fellow! Great capture, I must say! Composition of this piece is just spot on! Absolutely lovely! Crisp and clear too! Love, love, love it!
Thank you so much! He was being exceptionally regal this day. I managed to get a shot through the glass even will a million people around. The one I have zoomed out has a child's reflection in it so the close up will have to do
Ah yes! Those are especially tough! Our lions are behind fencing and I have the hardest time getting that fencing out. And, of course, no way can I get them to appear close even with a 300 zoom lens! I have this same trouble at our meerkat exhibit...glass and reflections! Grrrr!
Yes, I can work with glass; most of the time I don't even mention in the descriptions that I've shot the photo through glass. But with the lions so far away in the exhibit and those pesky bars, I must shoot on manual (which I can do) but still, even with my zoom, they look far away and to date, only one or two shots have turned out where I've managed to eliminate them with the zoom. It is definitely a challenge!
